Lowering control arms
Lowering control arms relocate the spring or ball joint mount to drop the front, often 2-3", and many are stronger than the factory arms. On heavily lowered trucks, upper arms with built-in camber correction let a shop bring the alignment back into spec.
- Combine with drop spindles for 4-5" front drops.
- Tubular arms are lighter and add clearance.
- Replace worn ball joints and bushings at the same time.
Lowering Control Arms and Camber Correction FAQ
Do I need camber arms after lowering?
For bigger drops (usually 3"+ up front), stock arms often can't adjust enough. Camber-correcting upper arms fix that.
Do lowering arms need drop shocks?
Yes, when they lower the spring mount. Check the listing and the Shock Finder.
