Why alignment parts matter

Changing ride height moves the suspension through its arc, which changes camber (tire tilt) and caster. Mild changes can usually be aligned with factory adjusters, but bigger drops or lifts run out of adjustment. Camber bolts, cams and plates add adjustment range so a shop can align the truck properly.

  • Uneven inside/outside tire wear usually means camber is off.
  • For big drops, consider camber-correcting control arms.
  • Always align after any suspension change.

Alignment Kits and Camber Correction FAQ

How do I know if I need a camber kit?

If your alignment shop says camber is out of spec and can't be adjusted, or your tires wear on the inner or outer edge, you need more adjustment.

Can I install a camber kit myself?

You can install it, but it has to be set on an alignment rack to do its job.
