Why upgrade control arms after lifting
Lifting or leveling a truck changes the angle of the upper ball joint and pushes alignment out of range. Aftermarket upper control arms correct the ball joint angle, add caster and camber adjustment, and often use stronger joints.
- Recommended for most 2"+ leveling kits on IFS trucks.
- Uniball and heavy-duty ball joints handle bigger tires and off-road use.
- Get an alignment after install.
Control Arms FAQ
Do I need upper control arms for a leveling kit?
Not always, but they help the truck align properly and ride better, especially over 2" of lift.
